Real Change for the Homeless
Mission Statement
Real Change for the Homeless is an organization that is determined to identify the underlying causes of homelessness. Our goal is to provide the help needed to get people off of the streets and back into society where they belong. We seek to work with members of our community, in order to help each other help another. If you can spare some time, we'd love to show you how to be the change.
Why We Do This
Some of us have been there and got out!
Real Change for the Homeless is led by multiple individuals who spent significant time stuck in homelessness, addiction, and illness with no hope for an end in sight. Against the odds, they were able to get the help they needed. That help came in the form of strangers showing interest, socializing, and giving their time when no one else would. We've come to understand that this change starts in the minds of each and every single person. We seek to bridge the gap between our more established community members and our most vulnerable through education, and outreach opportunities. Together we can break down the stigma of homelessness, and replace it with real understanding.

Making A Difference
Homeless Outreach
We are always looking for new and exciting ways to engage the homeless community. Our goal is to not only offer the homeless community resources and information, but to give them kind and genuine human relationships. Through the combination of the two, we can make them just as excited about tomorrow as we are. Ask us about our Real Change Sponsorship.
Public Awareness
With this initiative, our goal is to promote understanding and compassion. We strive to better understand what causes homelessness, but also what keeps people stuck in that situation. Our awareness initiative will better help the community understand how we can end homelessness here in Las Vegas.
The video below is an interview from one of our Saturday outreach team meetings. We have highlighted important aspects of her story, and included details of her disability. We hope anyone who sees it will look at homelessness with more compassion, as well as learn more about the issue in general.
Donations
At this time we have a few volunteers who are willing to pick up donations. Any donations we cannot use for our programs will be donated to either a local homeless program or one of the other great organizations we work with. We need hygiene items, all clothing, shoes, sock and underwear (new only please), snack foods, bottled drinks. A more comprehensive list will be added soon.
